The Cosmetologist program at IntelliTec College has long been a popular choice for students interested in entering the field of beauty. At IntelliTec College, Cosmetology students benefit from true hands-on learning, taking the skills they learn in the classroom and applying them in a real-world setting through work in IntelliTec College’s Cosmetology Salons. Due to the popularity of the Cosmetologist program in Grand Junction, we are pleased to announce that we have moved our salon and cosmetology classrooms to a new location! Come to our new convenient North Ave. location to see what quality, affordable salon services our IntelliTec students have to offer!
In order to better accommodate our students and Grand Junction’s growing Cosmetologist program, IntelliTec College has acquired a larger, better equipped location for our cosmetology classrooms and salon. The classrooms and salon, formerly located at 2464 Patterson Rd., Grand Junction, CO 81505, will now be located at the former Salon Professional Academy Cosmetology School building at 432 North Ave, Grand Junction, CO 81501. IntelliTec College students made the move and began learning in their new location on May 23rd, 2022.
Cheryl Morris, Campus Director at IntelliTec College – Grand Junction, was excited to announce the move. “Moving our salon and cosmetology classrooms to this new location, site of the former Salon Professional Academy Cosmetology School, will allow our students to thrive in an environment catered to their needs. In this expanded site, our students will have more room to develop and hone the skills of their craft. We are also doing some renovations that will allow our students to provide more services to clients, and are so excited to see what they will accomplish in this new space!”
The new location for IntelliTec College’s Cosmetologist program and salon will be ideal for the community as well. Located on popular North Ave., the new location is conveniently close to major highways and commercial centers. Members of the community will find the same quality, affordable salon services as they enjoyed at the previous location. All services are provided by IntelliTec College students overseen by industry professional instructors.
When you come to IntelliTec College’s Cosmetology salon, you can trust you’ll receive quality salon services. IntelliTec College’s Cosmetologist program has been designed to prepare students for successful long-term careers in the beauty industry. Students receive advanced technical skills training for hair coloring applications, cutting techniques, and styling methods, as well as professional training in facial and skin care treatment, nail services and make-up techniques. Students are also instructed in how to provide exemplary customer service. All students in the Cosmetologist program at IntelliTec College – Grand Junction receive the resources they need to succeed. This includes a complete cosmetologist’s kit stocked with essential hairstyling, nail service, and skin care items, as well as personalized instruction from certified instructors who are licensed cosmetologists and/or former salon owners. Under their supervision, IntelliTec students take the skills they’ve learned in the classroom and apply them in IntelliTec College’s Cosmetology Salons, gaining hands-on, real-world experience while offering excellent salon services to the community.
Graduates of IntelliTec College’s Cosmetologist program transition from the program with 1,695 clocked hours of training, thoroughly prepared to sit for the Colorado State Board of Cosmetology exam. Graduates are experienced in performing salon services including all aspects of hairstyling, professional facial and skin care, and nail services, and will have the skills to work effectively as an entry-level cosmetologist working independently or as a member of a salon team. Much of this experience is credited to the time spent working in IntelliTec’s salons.
