IntelliTec College Is a Military Friendly and Military Spouse Friendly School
IntelliTec College has a long history of support for military students and their families. This year, IntelliTec was again recognized as a Military Friendly School and Military Spouse Friendly School. The Military Friendly® School list is created annually by VIQTORY, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) founded in 2001. VIQTORY is not a part of or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Defense or any government entity, but is a private company with a mission to connect the military community to civilian employment, educational, and entrepreneurial opportunities through its G.I. Jobs® and Military Friendly® brands.
The Military Friendly® recognition represents another affirmation of our continued support for veteran and military students. At IntelliTec, we have qualified School Certifying Officials on each of our four campuses – dedicated specialists who are available to assist you with applying for and navigating through your VA education benefits. These experienced specialists work with all VA chapters and are familiar with all available VA education options, including the Montgomery GI Bill® (Chapter 30), the Post 9/11 GI Bill® (Chapter 33), the Survivors’ and Dependents’ Education and Assistance (DEA) Program (Chapter 35), and the Veteran Readiness and Employment Program (Chapter 31).

Transitioning from Military Life to Civilian Life – Training for a Meaningful Career
After working hard in your military career, there is no better way to build on your experience than to find a career that makes you happy and keeps you motivated. You’ve learned incredible skills in your time in the military, and IntelliTec College is here to help you translate those skills into a meaningful career. With four campus locations: Colorado Springs, Grand Junction, and Pueblo, Colorado, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, IntelliTec College offers a range of degree and certificate programs for careers in information technology, health, beauty, and the skilled trades. Programs are designed to be completed in less than 2 years, while providing focused, hands-on skills training designed to prepare you for immediate entry-level employment in civilian careers.
IntelliTec College’s Automotive Technician Program
Many of our military students choose to train for careers as mechanics with our Automotive Technician program. IntelliTec’s Automotive Technician program is designed to provide both the knowledge and practical skills you need to launch a career in the automotive industry. IntelliTec offers both a 15-month Automotive Technician certificate program and a 19.5-month Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) degree program. Both programs are designed to prepare you with the foundational skills needed for ASE certification, but the AOS degree program adds fundamental business skills to the 15-month Automotive Technician certificate program’s technical education training.
At IntelliTec College, students learn automotive theory and technology through the most innovative, interactive learning models available today. Under the supervision of experienced and dedicated faculty, IntelliTec students learn hands-on skills through on-campus labs, while receiving digital instruction through the innovative, user-friendly Electude e-learning system. Students learn to work with brakes, suspension systems, manual and automatic transmissions, climate control systems, emissions systems, and starting and charging systems. Students learn engine performance, as well as how to run and interpret diagnostic and troubleshooting routines. A course on Light Vehicle Diesel Engines teaches students diesel engine function and operation, providing the skills needed to diagnose, test, and service common diesel electronic fuel injection systems, engine electronic systems, and diesel charging and starting systems.
Graduates of IntelliTec’s Automotive Technician programs will be prepared to test for professional certifications, including:
- Entry-level ASE Certifications 1 – 8
- EPA Section 609 Refrigerant Recovery & Recycling Certifications
- Pro Cut Train Smart Level 1 Certification
