How to Become a Mechanic
The practical, career-focused Automotive Technician program from IntelliTec College, led by certified industry-experienced instructors, provides the hands-on training, real world experience and expert guidance it takes to pursue a rewarding Automotive career in as little as 15 months.*
As an Automotive Technician student with IntelliTec, you have the opportunity to sit for the following certifications:
1 - ASE 1 - 9 Certifications
2 - EPA Section 609 Refrigerant Recovery & Recycling Certifications
3 - Pro Cut Train Smart Level 1 Certification
As you move through each specific area of your mechanic school training, you’ll be prepared for the relevant ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification exams. It’s common for students to achieve certifications, and even be working in the industry, before they complete the full program.
It’s possible to work as an Automotive Technician without certification. Some students even find work in the field while they’re still in school. But to move up and to be considered for higher paying positions commonly requires industry certifications.

I just stuck through, kept coming, and if it wasn't for the instructors that I had, I wouldn’t have graduated for sure. I’ve learned a lot.
